  Were it not for the owners reaction to my accident on their garden hammock I would have been entirely satisfied with my stay. The accident occurred when I tried to... read more get onto the hammock which began swinging erratically. The cords holding it to the frame snapped and I fell onto the metal bar running along the ground. It had not been possible to make contact with them that day and we had to leave early next morning but when I received a message from Amanda to contact her about the hammock I responded immediately and told her what happened and that I had bruising from the fall. She proceeded to blame me for the cord breaking insinuating that I was overweight , and that I had lied about hurting myself. That I had somehow mis treated the hammock. I am in my 70s a size 12/14 and was extremely cautious getting into the hammock. She then demanded that I pay her £25 for the broken cord, not interested that I could have seriously hurt myself.

The shepherds hut itself is really cute, with everything you might need for a comfortable stay and easily slept my wife and I and our teenage son. Amanda is an excellent host, she is very kind, offering to pick our bags up for us in Kington, which we politely declined. She is also an excellent cook, offering to cook a tasty choice of meals, which I can highly recommend. It also meant we didn't have to cook or carry our evening meal. We also went for a breakfast hamper, providing us with the ingredients for a delicious full English breakfast. We would definitely stay again.
